Elbow pain

I need some advice/help, a few hours ago I fell and hit the back of my elbow pretty bad (imagine diving elbow first to the ground from standing up). Now I have about 30 degree mobility (cant move it back at all) before it starts to really hurt in the back.

There is some swelling but it doesnt hurt unless I move it (any movement using the tricep hurts like a bi**h).

So my question is, does anyone know whats wrong and if theres anything I can do at home?

This might be a pretty hopeless thread but im kind off pissed at myself because ive never had this kind of injury before.

P.S. Ill see if I can go get an x-ray tomorrow.

If it was me i would endure it for a few days and see if it got better. I wouldnt really do anything to help it.

Bare in mind.. i am not a doctor.

I guess you can wait a while. if it doesn't get even a little bit better within a few hours... you probably ought to ask a doc. I can pretty much imagine breaking it when falling elbow first...

Yea, I guess it wasnt elbow first, though it was the best description I could think of :P

I was actually trying to jump and grab a pull-up bar in my doorway and slipped on my shirt.
Hit my knee first and gues I tried to cussion the fall with my hand but didnt quite make it so I ended up cussioning the fall with my left elbow.

What the fuck is wrong with people that they get injured and go to a GAMING FORUM to get a diagnosis? Go to the Farking ER NOW before something bad turns into irreparable nerve damage or something.

What I find strange is that there is no bruising at all (not yet anyway) or is that normal?

Because If I were to go see a doctor it would most likely take 4-5hours and its like 9pm.

And does it matter if I turn to a Gaming forum for information? You do know that there are people who know what they're talking about everywere, even on a gaming forum.

And my aunt is a nurse, it was her idea to wait untill morning.

Every single post you make is a flame, it's getting rather annoying.

OnT: Yes, I guess you should wait untill tomorrow to see if the pain still persists, if it does you really need to go see a doctor.

Put ice cubes in a ziplock and press it against your elbow. it could be a fracture or elbow sprain (is there even such a thing? :P ). when i sprained my ankle, my friend gave me some kind of pain relieving lotion, so maybe you could use those too ;p

Ok, now that you have broken your arm, tell us how exactly you fell.

Pro Tip: Use your hands next time. :P

Interesting story: When I was younger a friend of mine crashed his bike and broke his left wrist. It healed up and a month after getting the cast off he fell and broke his other wrist (another bike crash). Lucky mofo..
