Love isn't about the money?

The other day I was driving to my grandmother's place for lunch, and I heard the most retarded goddam thing I've ever heard on the radio.

It was a commercial for this jewelery store, no doubt taking advantage of the upcoming Valentine's Day bull so they can make some money with their shiny rocks. The woman that was talking though, holy shit. Here's basically what I remember her saying:

"Valentine's Day isn't about the money, love isn't monetary!"

"But my most fond memory of Valentine's Day is receiving a 'Heart Gem' ring."

Now wait a goddam second. This bitch just said "love isn't monetary" but her MOST FOND MEMORY OF VALENTINE'S DAY IS RECEIVING AN EXPENSIVE ASS RING. Not something actually worth remembering like spending time with your spouse or whatever, oh no. Now I'm no love expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if I was with a person so shallow, I'd kick their ass right out of my house. Love isn't about the money, and you're out of your goddam mind if you think it's about how much shit you can get for your significant other.

tl;dr I'm so tired of hearing hypocritical Valentine's Day advertisements.

I agree, though you can't stop women/men from marrying for the money.

What's even better is the stores that have sales like that are usually overpricing anyways. I worked in a small jewelery store before and their prices were sooo much cheaper. Plus they taught me all the basics about how to tell different quality of gold, stones, and their general worth. A vs1 D color diamond bracelet costs around $300 at the place i worked at and like $3999 in the mall with 75% off for christmas... even with 75% off it was overpriced. Not to mention the one in the mall was s1 I color diamonds i believe. (Shittier)

Never buy from places that offer you 50%+ sales. It's always a rip.

Valentine is all hypocrisy. I only bought a box of chocolate in a nice heart-shape box for like 5 euro's, because I hope she'll say we'll share that box :D Wouldn't have bought anything if I hadn't found something sweet and cheap :P

In my eyes, it's the thought that counts.

But then again, why the f- would we only 'celebrate' our love for our significant other on one day of the year only? Why not make every day valentines?

What do you expect a Jewelry Store commercial to be like? "Dont come to our store and buy our jewelry!!! Go spend it with your loved one." ? NO! its a commercial... it is trying to make you BUY stuff. Derp

Love & (Love or Money) = Love; poor people give twice the love, rice people give love and spend money on expensive ass rings, it's all love in the end; completely logical commercial.
