But he also makes movies, like Curse of the Golden Flower and House of flying daggers. I recently watched Curse of the Golden Flower and am now downloading House of flying daggers. The movie Hero with Jet-Li was also one of his productions.

Really amazing movie, the use of color is just outstanding. Anyone else watches movies of this guy?

Watched quite a few of these after I really liked Fearless, but in the end I realized the over-edited flying fight scenes just weren't for me.

I love Hero and House of Flying Daggers. I have to agree, his use of colors is amazing.

Didn't like Curse of the Golden Flower though. I slept halfway through it then rewatched it just to get myself disappointed.

Hold on... Curse of the Golden Flower... review? Sounds familiar to me...

I was impressed by crouching tiger hidden dragon, very good storyline and action but every chinese medieval age martial arts film after that was just kicking the dead cow after that.

And why the fck do they use zhang ziyi as the main love interest for every goddamn one of those movies? Are there not any good-looking chinese women that are of her caliber? And she isn't even that attractive in the first place.

what he said. I just love Hero..i've watched it like 7 times and am still not tired of it ;D its just great movie.

the Curse of the Golden Flower was a bit more 'boring' but i have to agree that the ending was nice ;D

i loved curse O.o

Hero is a definite must watch.
