Well, props to Apple for being the innovators of the market, but obviously many things are hit-or-miss.

The name sounds like it's a joke but it's actually pretty good for a netbook. I'd also get it if my books had ebook versions that would run on it.
And it should come with bigass headphones.

It lacks key features that plague all tablets. Hopefully HP's slate can remedy this.

This, a girl ran up to me where I work and was like, "OMG, apple just released the new iPad, I MUST HAVE, so COOL! I just stared at here and was like... o_O you're joking right....?????? Than she was saying how she really wants the iPad, and I asked her you know what it is right, than she's like yea, it's like an iphone only the size of a piece of paper, than i was just wtf...

It's cool, but it is a solution for a problem that doesn't exist.
They introduced it as if there were a need for something in between an iPhone and a Macbook.
If it's for surfing on the train I'm fine with my iPhone, at home I like my Macbook better

Maybe I need to try it for myself, but I wasn't impressed at all personally. Functionality is limited by the watered-down OS and the fact that it can't multitask is a big negative. So ultimately it's just an eReader on steroids.
Still, I wouldn't mind one as a gift though.
@Dopple That's the first thing I thought about, lmao.
