plus 90% of the computers out there use windows so why bother getting a mac at home and then ending up sitting in front of a windows computer when your in the office. Plus all that pain in ass with finding compatible shit for macs.

no I watched the video before I posted. I just took the opportunity to snipe macs since the topic was about macs, especially after talking with some of my friends who treat macs like the holy grail

Because everyone needs some kind of relief from the horror that is the Windows Vista experience at work. Come home to a nice refreshing experience with Mac or Linux.

Besides, you shouldn't have to worry about compatibility with Windows stuff from work because work stuff doesn't belong on your home computer. Keep it separate.

My entire organization is supposed to already have migrated to Vista, but there are still some systems not there yet. I do agree though that Win7 is better, or it's supposed to be a lot better. I've heard great reviews about it.

Still, I'll stick with Linux at home myself. Either that or Solaris or one of the BSDs.

I know vista didn't come with real new amazing stuff (did IE7?) but it works absolutely fine and I have no problems at all.
It's the small things that do it for me and I really like the built in search function at start, and call me a Mac sinner, but I think it looks pretty good too.

People should stop being so butthurt about Vista, it's not all that bad.

Windows? Don't make me laugh. The only office that uses a windows system is one that is not related to anything important.

Also considering most people do not know how to use a computer efficiently anyways, I doubt your "pain" in the ass comment is relevant.

Btw, even Microsoft uses Linux servers. Their own http://microsoft.com is running on a linux server.
