Jackie Chan looks bad-ass, but his bad-assness will not save a terrible movie from being terrible, unfortunately.

Why do they have to keep hashing out the half-assed remakes?

You only do remakes of something that was shit. Like any other version is going to be better than the original karate kid.

Jackie Chan isn't actually old like in the trailer,is he? I mean he looked "young" in Rush Hour 3,and thats like 3 years ago?

Well there is stuff called make up, but on the other hand jacky is 55 years old. It's up to you to choose where they used the most makeup ^^ rushhour3 or karate kid.
OT I hate to say this actually doesn't even seem so bad... I hate that they chose bow-wow as the kid though.

who-ever it is -.- It doesn't really matter, it's still some kid that thinks he's badass.

Will Smith's son, they saw him and automatically took him in because of his fathers reputation most likely..
But yes, this movie is full of cornyness.. How do you take a kid who grew up in the ghetto's most likely, and train him to beat kids who have been doing karate or martial arts there whole life?
Pretty corny to me..
The first 3 karate kids where believable because the kid was older and Myagi had so much spiritual crap going on. RIP Mr. Myagi

I think I might actually watch this. they are coming up with a lot of remakes from 80s-90s now, like the new Clash of Titans.

Looks great.
Why is it a remake though if its completely diff characters and stuff, if the only thing the same is the idea lol ¬.¬.
I like the original and all, but it seems kinda cool to see some of movies like this remade now days.

I think this is gonna be a monster hit.
Jackie isn't fighting (alot anyway) which is what is gonna make this film popular i think.
Btw is it just me or this trailer Farking brilliant?
I can't wait to see this film.

No way man, they have hundreds of auditions for these kind of movies where they need a youngster.
