3 things bothering me...

Post by Pinoy_Archer »

1.When people die(young and there is no reason why he/she should die), why cant people revive them? The word "Spirit or Soul" comes to mind. Is there something in the Brain like a nerve link when broken then the person dies?

2.Why are we the "Human's" are capable of learning and do something productive? why haven't another race of Monkey's became as smart or productive as humans? or another species or what soever has the same capability like we humans have? I know natural selection, but have you ever thing of it that there should be another species that should be as or more smart that we are?

3. Brain wave in Gelatin... very common, yet i never see even heard an answer. If someone knows, care to explain or give a URL.

I'm very bothered by this questions, there we're like 20 question in my head and i narrow it by 3 main questions. I expect someone to say to me "oh hes religious" or something. But, trust me I'm neither on both side now.

I don't think we can revive people because when the organs stops working you can't 'reboot' them haha. I dunno about the other two.

I 'm not so sure about the organ stop thing?... isnt organ transplant stopping the organs before placing it to the other person?

True about the transplants. Maybe it's indeed a link that has to be made between the brains and organs and that disappears if you die O_o

After organs doesn't get blood anymore they start to rotten (?) Transplants are kept on ice becouse low temperature slowers the reaction.

I'm not 100% sure about this though.

1. When people, both young and old, die, there is always a cause of death. It may not be known immediately and sometimes requires further investigation, but an unknown cause of death does not equate to a spiritual link in the brain or elsewhere that is broken and can be repaired. While indeed in may sound poetic that someone who has died is actually just in need of some sort of metaphysical therapy, it is far, far from being the truth. This is why most forms of homeopathy are ineffective.

2. All species have some form of learning, which is how they're able to survive and adapt to their environments. Our biggest advantage is that our brains are very large for our size. Anyway, here's a video that might answer your question;
Spoiler!

3. Maybe it has something to do with the wobbling. Alpha wave frequency is around 10Hz. Alpha waves in our brain range from about 10-40+Hz (not positive about this though). The movement of the gelatin probably mimics those frequencies of a brain as it wiggles around in certain environments. Then again, sound could be a factor since a noise loud enough will cause gelatin to get wiggly.

The brain itself dies, memories fade, motoric functions get damaged. If someone has no oxygen for longer than 10 minutes but then revive they often suffer brain damage and become handicapped, suffere severe memory loss or become mentally retarded. After xx minutes the damage is so severe that the person cannot function anymore even if you get the heart beating (braindead)

Humans got a mutated jaw muscle (the jawmuscles started to attach to the side of our jaw instead of on the top of our head like all monkeys have), and because of the lesser pressure on our skulls our brains got room to develop.

Also we learned to walk on 2 feet giving us better hunting and survival opportunities and we have thumbs to use tools.

We developed a language so we could work together and learn our children what we knew, and they developed on that, etc.

All this combined = evolutionary peculiarity.

Hmm, reviving people -- there's only so much you can do, be it CPR etc.
However, I don't think dying would be as bad as it's said to be. I mean, don't go out and kill yourselves but don't stress out about dying because apparently when you die, it's said to feel similar to having a dream. This is because your brain produces a hallucinogenic chemical called Dimethyltryptamine.

well.. if it goes on for infinite there can't be a place "outside of the universe".

Since the universe doesn't have the limit, the edge. You can't define "inside" and "outside". Therefore, the conception of inside the universe is void, unless you can prove the opposite...

Then where would the parallel universes lay? O_o

If they're not IN our uiverse, and if there is no OUTSIDE of our universe...

They are all intertwined.

Our universe is expanding, but not in the sense that a balloon does. It's not expanding into space. Rather, the "space" between everything is expanding. There is nothing outside space, the universe is everything. That's why hubble sees all galaxies moving away from us.

1. When we die, something triggers all our cells to activate their death/suicide program and everything begins to break down. After you've been dead a while, your body becomes unfit for living.

2. There have been other species that are as smart as we are, but we killed them. See Neanderthal.

3. I don't know what you're talking about here, but I'm going to assume you mean preserving our memories/operating systems into a gel like substance. From the recent breakthroughs where we can program memories into flies, I don't see why we wouldn't be able to do this in the future to humans. Of course, our humanity will be lost when that occurs.

1>CPR can work after a person stops breathing, ECT is also effective. imo ppl are meant to die sometime or the other its just the way things are, don't think about it too much. Also how do u know their is no reason for a person to die? and do u really need a reason to account for every death? I dont mean in terms of "God's great plan for us all" i mean is it really possible for you or any1 else to say that this/that person's death was meaningless...

2>two things for this:
a> Dolphins have been proven to have human level intelligence, but they don't have hands...also they live a life of perpetual fun, why would they need to make anything. Its the same for all animals excepting humans, they are more than fulfilled by nature but we are not. Also you do realize that every person that lives a day practically destroys the a part of the environment in one way or another, So can you really say they are stupid or that they are wiser than us...
b>If it did happen that a monkey made a radio or something it would either be killed for being an alien/diseased or be captured, observed and later dissected(i am serious this would happen).

3>no idea sorry.

To the OP: Every answer you receive is coming from another human just like yourself who can only speculate/regurgitate what they've heard. None of us know the "whys" in life. We're only able to discover some the "how" thus far. We're all like gold fishes place in a bowl of water with no recollection on when/how/why we got in there. We only know whats been put in front of us........ both the obvious and the not-so-obvious...... Which could be everything or nothing. It is what it is. Its a waste of time to be "bothered" by things you will either never ever know or will eventually find out once you either evolve or leave from this known existence. Life seem to be an opportunity to experience life. For what purpose I have no idea. So I'm just gonna experience it and try to be less bothered by it. Except when it comes to joymax LOL

That is assuming that the universe is affected by the passage of time and there is a "before". It might be that everything that existed, exists or will exist is already there, we're just moving through it and perceiving our movement as the passage of time. Maybe the universe wasn't created at any particular point in time, it just is what it is.
