I need a good camera

The point of this camera would be just taking every day pictures.
I'm not looking for something super fancy but not some piece of junk. I was just wondering if anyone had any good recommendations. Any links,pictures would be nice. Reasons why the camera is good would be appreciated also.

I'm a bit confused,you want a good camera but only to take everyday pictures? Well ,theres basically two types of cameras, SLR and Point-N-Shoot. Point-N-Shoot will take everyday pictures,kinda like you want. If your thinking about starting photography and getting serious into it,you might want a DLSR/SLR camera

EDIT: As Love said, depends of your budget. I think you can get a basic SLR for 750$
