Yo dudes, dudettes
Me and my friend made a beat(but in a different way) and we'd like it if you guys could give us some feedback. We both just started making music so don't expect much.
Code: Select all
Ok this was the second thing we made the same day. It's different than the one above.
Code: Select all
Less noise? Again some feedback would be nice

Thanks in advance =)

As instrumental i meant, no vocals. Like a beat. My bad.
Well thanks anyway =)

I don't think going malfunctioning Aphex Twin is the best way to start.

there's no harmony in the song whatsoever. Random tones don't always mix well. too much repetitiveness in some parts as well...

Yes i know. We're both open for critics, we both have no experience to little experience in making music. And you're totally right with the harsh comment push people forward thing. Gotta start somewhere huh?
Thanks for the comments

It's the effort and well trying that counts!
But I can't really say that it's good...

Bjork on meth, locked inside a musical instrument storage room. :(

It sounds like something you'd use for sound effects for a video/show.

I have to say, if this is just a start its pretty decent/good.

It does need more though. But I'm not really going to bash it to hell because its actually decent for a start.

There is a region of music called 'noise' or 'noise rock' which I am a great fan of. Critics deem it to be the highest form of experimentation and avantgardeness, but some people see it as random and pointless jamming...
Code: Select all
Listen to it from about from 3:20 and forward. That's noise.

For the threadstarter, I'd say I like it. Sounds a bit like Aphex Twin but experiment more, I like the 'idm' beat.

Lolwut?

Either they are all deaf or they were all dropped from a balcony when they were young.
That sh1t is worse than death metal and screamo rap. I get more enjoyment from listening to the static on my radio.

Are you talking about the song me and my friend made, or about the noise rock song?

2nd one's beats are too random. try time 'em right.

The second one start off with something that sounds remotely like an arabic tune on a guitar and it moves on to sounding like a mosquito approaching the right ear. Then I hear a fog horn sound that fades away. The beat is very erratic and does not mesh well with the rest of the song.

Sorry, but it sounds like in both "songs" (sound clips?) that you're trying to be artistic and innovative but have fallen extremely short.
