I need your help everyone. I have a friend who loves to watch scary movies. Only problem is, she can't find one that'll actually scare her. She went to Paranormal Activity in theaters with a friend who's a chicken, neither of them were scared by the movie. Anyone have some truly scary movies that will make just about anyone scream? The movies I can think of that I've seen, she says she's already seen. Saw, Freddy Krueger, Jason, all those series don't work. Would list other movies, but I'm drawing a complete blank right now.

i'd go with japanese movies. the original grudge, ring, or whatever scary asian movies are out there. the exorcist is always a classic.

^umm was that the movie where that leprechaun saws some guy in half and blood squirts out everywhere? I remember watching it in a hotel and I couldn't sleep because of that...

Scary or grossed out? Gore isn't scary, it's gross.

Stick with Asian horror films, you can't go wrong.

She doesn't like the movies where the camera is acting like an actual person is shooting it... Like Blair Witch or Cloverfield, or other movies in that fashion.

I don't find movies with paranormal creatures scary. They are just ridiculous while trying to be so scary. IMO she should try more realistic movies such as SAWs or a movie called "Horror movie".

Some people dont get scared by any films.

I've always guessed its because they dont really take note of the story, or take it in (if thats the right words). Two of my dull friends could watch anything, dont jump, dont get creeped or anything. But then again, they probably didnt even understand or care what was ever happening.

Well it kind of depends on what scares her, I mean, I could recommend for example a movie about a yeti but if she can't relate to a yeti being scary the movie won't scare her. Find out what scares her, zombies, vampires, murderers, ghosts, monsters..
I personally was kind of disturbed by the 1982 movie Poltergeist but others might become bored of it half way.
