World's end in 2208

Who types "2012"in google will get 189mil hits. The most will be about the end of times or the arriving of a new spiritual era. The doompredicters and new age-supporters base their storys on the mayacalander. Which would end on 21st of December 2012. The pessimists prepare for the end of the world.
Recent research of archeologists, astronomers and (people who know alot bout math_ *dont know how to say it :$*
show that the date is wrong. De calander ends 200 years later. says the NWT.
The problem is that the South-American Maya's had not 1 but 4 calanders. That all were equaly complicated.
Spanish overlords burned written text about the calander system.
What remained was carved signs.
It went wrong at the translation of the Maya-Calander to the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
De German earthscientist Andreas Fuls re-calculated it and concludated that the end of the Maya-calander falls in 2208.
He assumes that the counting will start over.
The Maya-endtime would take place about 150.000 times since the beginning of the earth.
The more spiritual kinda people believe that on the 21st of december 2012 the comsmic heaven gate opens. The sun rises to its highest point and stands equal with the imaginary equator of the milkyway.
It would happen once in every 25.800 years that the sun does that in the wintersolstice<<Dutch"Winterwende" ***hard word***
Astronomer Louis Strous of the University Utrecht is smarter then the new-age supporters.
"This happens every few thousand years" he says
"After all there doesnt excist anything like a excact equator of the milkyway".
How the wold will end if the doomprophecy's are right is shown in the movie "2012" Driector Roland Emmerich has done alot of special effects to show the disaster. From 11 novemeber the movie will be out in the Netherlands
