Sceen Issue & other staff

I made my screen 1280 by 800 pixels, and everytime i play sro or another game it chenge by it self to 800 by 600 pixels, i went in options in the game it self i both put them by 1280 by 800 and still screw up my screen all my staff(msn,xfire,steam,windows) they all become smaller after i had manuly change the screen back to 1280 by 800 is there any way keep everything in my laptop by 1280 by 800 without having any issues??

Olso, i was fooling around i wanted to see how classic windows looks like in theme, and i chenge back to windows vista, and now everytime i turn on my laptop back to classic it wont stay at windows vista theme there anyway for to put to stay forever as windows vista, i clicked apply every time i turn on my pc and still dosent stay that way??

That is quite awkward I would have to say. Did this only recently start, or has this been a prolonged problem? Have you tried updating to your latest graphics drivers? Have you done any windows updates lately, and did it start doing it after that? Installed any programs, then it started happening?

I had Windows Vista for about 7 months of having this computer; and I never experienced a problem like that.

I'm on Windows 7, and Silkroad hasn't experienced any problems yet. I remember seeing a thread in the Silkroad section to change your resolution manually via editing one of the files. I'll try to give it a look, and see if I can come up with anything. If not, someone else will have to help ya out bud.


P.S. One thing I can try telling you to do is; don't hard shut down your laptop. When you do shut it down, go to start-shut down. But make sure, before you do this, to have your Windows Vista theme set. That way, it will save the settings before shutting down, and hopefully it stays like that when you load it back up. Do the same with Silkroad, change the resolution, and turn it off using escape-quit, instead of Alt + F4, or via Task Manager.

I think it might as well be your graphic drivers.

Also, try to change the resolution of the game in the launcher it self. Simply, instead of pressing "start" press "options" and choose the same resolution as your screen is.

For me, when I change the game resolution, the screen resolution changes too but it shouldn't do as you explained :S Indeed its kinda weird.


Did you try re-installing the game?
Regarding your other problem. If it started recently, try to set the computer a couple of days/weeks back in time. That might help you

I turn off my laptop like i turn off my pc, just like it was normal i dont hard or close my laptop, its just that i keep put as Windows vista theme, and every time i turn it off it just go back to claissc theme...I tryed something new on it so tonight I'm turn it off and see if it workd. The games screen sense i had to physcly uninstall one of my games cuz i just coudnt get to work, on sro i did both way i went opnions before i started the game before the inspeciton, and before i loged off today i did it in the game it self, so now i got wait till inspection over see if it worked...which i think it didnt cuz when i close sro made my screen 800 by 600...lets see if i got work.

Edit: Well I turn on my laptop today it was like always starts with classic and now starts at 800 by 600, when i click start sro makes everything 800 by 600 till it opens up it comes back to 1200 by 800 which Im try switch to 1200 by 760...but it kinda got worse cuz when i turn my laptop on it ask for some windows update so i sayed yes, then i notice it updated to windows expolorer 8 which it says is faster(is not, not to me, its slow and takes longer open up youtube vidoes and takes longer load them up)....so idk wtf im going do.
