You still have a ass load of Halloween candy left over from a lack of trick or treaters. Bonus points if you're eating it right now.
So how was your Halloween? =l About 10 kids came to my house this year, seems nobody goes outside anymore.

noone goes trick or treating in this god forsaken country, because if you do, you run the risk of being robbed, raped, kidnapped, or killed. or any possible combination of those four.

Half of the kids that came to my house weren't even in costumes, they didn't say "trick or treat". I just dropped candy in their bags, and watched their ungrateful selfs storm off because I didn't give them an entire bowl...

couple years back, express kidnapping was very common, now it's just rob and kill. so basically, you're walking at night with some friends and a guy in a motorcycle passing by will just randomly shoot you and rob you of your belongings. most of the time, killing the victims.
there's only a few places in guayaquil where you can trick or treat without running those risks, and it's where all the rich people live. those closed residential areas far away from everything, dunno the word for it.

because your communities you lived and grew up in are now older people. the kids you used to trick or treat beside are now moved out and gone on to the other areas. hit up a new development where new families buy houses and see how many kids there are. In 10-20 years these new parents/kids will be thinking the same thing you and i are. unless you live in one of those new developments already then your town is just farked.

I think next year I'm not even getting candy. If somebody comes to my door I'll hand them a lint ball or something. I have more than enough candy to last till new years >_>

We never really had this trick or treat thing in my country, hell, we didn't even celebrate hallowe'en before it started to be "popular", we have nothing to do with other countries' tradition, so I think it's kind of dumb. But oh well, I still invited some people over to eat a buttload of pizza and haev an horror movie maraton.

Our 'Halloween' is 11 november. Our children don't extort the houses they visit, so no tricks, the children sing a song and they get candy.
Though I think our system isn't too good. I don't like to listen to the singing children, and I didn't like to sing as a child myself. We always picked the shortest song to get as much candy as fast as possible.

Sint-Maarten, Sint-Maarten, de koeien hebben staarten, de meisjes hebben DAAAAWW Just shoot me >.<

I agree, I'd prefer Halloween. At least you get to scare people, which I like to do...a lot 8)
but dutch culture in general won't be good enough for something like this. even iwht Sint-maarten there's hardly any people walking around, simply cus dutch parents often act paranoid and won't let their kids leave the house after 6, or even let them eat chocolate ffs. what's with all the paranoia about ADHD and how can you torture your kids with crappy dry cookies, instead of giving them a damn piece of chocolate!?

I was wondering the whole night why there weren't any kids ringing the doorbell. Turns out I forgot to open the gate.
