Ok, so for my english class, my teacher wants us to make a wordlist of at least 70 words with words that we could come across in a conversation which we don't know.

Buuut, here's the case, I have got a big vocabulary, and they only accept words that people will actually USE in a normal conversation, but I can't think of more then about, 21, with some hard words I never heard of, but now my teacher is bitching that those words are too hard.. so now I need YOUR help in giving me a word which you think is hard in a normal conversation, of which you also have to think what it is when you hear it.

Tell them you don't know anymore words that you wouldn't know in a normal convo and that's it. It's not your fault you know most words >.< He should be happy about it.

this is why english as a subject is idiotic. What is the teacher's definition of a "normal conversation"? Is there any objective way to grade a students' 70 words that may or may not be "normally used"? How "normal" can a conversation get until it is "unnormal"? What if discussing chondrules on a meteorite is a "normal" subject among NASA scientists?

and no Wout, I am not kidding about this shit, that damn goat I have for English also gave us an assignment to keep a logbook on how much english we speak daily. damn him, this is going to be the most boring log in history, as everyday is the same. I listen to my english music on the way to school, speak some sentences english with classmates, (only one is good enough for a proper conversation, the rest just plain sucks. they **** up grammar and shit) my cellphone is set to english, I'm on SRF, youtube and hyves, which I also set to english, and I listen to my english music on the way back home.
