Well too bad it's Disney, but I think this can be fun. At least worth the watch.

1.) Shouldn't they have cast a Persian to play as the Prince of Persia... 2.) Why does Jake use a British accent when he is supposed to be Persian... going to be a really lame movie.. just like the avatar why wouldn't they cast an Asian kid to play Aang ffs Hollywood fails

even if Persian descendants still live, it will be hard to find any useful ones.
in wiki it was already stated that the amount of native speakers are pretty limited, and we need at least the following:
-native; rare
-fluent English speaker; rare
-can act; rare
- preferably can do PoP-like stunts; rare

on top of that it would cost the producers extra, not only cause communication may be difficult. The average crowd would often like to see the actors they know and like instead of a guy from Iran.
so they would lose money (even though I agree on the idea that it might be better if we do use him =/). And probably half the American crowd won't watch it cause it has a Muslim, and is not pure >__>'.

1) PoP wasn't known for its AMAZING plot, it was a puzzle game.
2) Jake looks nothing like a prince of persia
3) that chick sounds so fuckin annoying
4) I love how they found someone persian-esque to play the villain

i might see it, probably not in theaters, i certainly won't go out of my way to watch it. maybe there's a good movie in here after all, i thought PoTC looked lame when i first heard about it.

i hate gyllenhaal because of brokeback mountain, whenever i see him i think he is acting as some sort of homosexual character.
just like jim carrey, whenever i see him, i automatically expect to laugh. that's why (for me) he sucks at anything that isn't a comedy.

looking forward to seeing this movie anyway.

yeah i did, and i didn't like it one bit. heath ledger (rip) on the other hand, completely outdid it with the joker in the dark knight, his performance was just perfect. hope this new movie changes my mind about gyllenhaal though.

They making a Tekken movie too.

Anyway. I haven't played the games so I don't really know any changes. I just saw it today and from the disappointing trailer, I actually liked the movie.
