Lol I have a part-time job at a hotel as an auditor/front desk agent so I'm not that surprised about this - not that it ever happened in our hotels (I think). It's just that if you happen to kill someone in a hotel room, it would be kind of a bitch to drag the bodies outside without chopping it into several pieces or shoving it inside a luggage; but why go through all that trouble when you could simply shove the body under the mattress and check out? It's a lot easier to cut through the wood and shove the body into the hole, I would imagine.

Imagine the kind of shit the housekeeping department got into because of those incidents. lol.

Front desk = "Hello, front desk how can i help you?"
Guest = "yes...theres a body shaped lump in my bed"
Front desk = "oh am sorry sir...one moment while i send up a bell boy with an axe"

OMFG, that pic.
Well, Yeah I guess that would be easiest to hide a body. @inky
But it's so freaking creepy..
It would give you nightmares for the rest of your life.

It's all about the setting. =p

Dead bodies aren't that scary/creepy when you examine them in the "proper" setting. We all know about the forensics, the funeral homes, and the medical labs with numerous cadavers but I really find it interesting how normal people (regular folks who aren't studying medicine or anything that involves studying human bodies) describe things like this (image below) as "fascinating," "cool," or "artistic" when they would've easily felt nauseated and horrified had it been anywhere else; the fact that it's displayed as a part of an exhibit and dubbed as "educational material" seems to remove most of the gruesome details about it.

I mean seriously, if you see a dead body with its skin peeled off, most of its organs removed, and displayed so that its muscles is dancing with its own skeleton, you would normally think "HOLY FUUUUCKKINNGG SHIT!! AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" But not if you see it in a "proper" setting.

Anyway...I'm kinda off topic there.

/rant.

Spoiler!

Well, yeah that's not creepy at all, because we know that it's not images of real dead bodies... xD

Apparently,

When you die your skin starts slipping off your body. After a while, your skin peels right off your hand, it's called "degloving".

You take the peeled off skin, leave it in warm water over night, and then put the skin glove onto your hand (like a glove) so you can take prints.

Thanks for the clarification youtube!

It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.
