Welcome to being male; where you don't have many thoughts, nor cares. When you don't have anything or much to say, get them to talk. Ask her questions, and not small-talk questions like "how's your day," etc. Ask her questions that would possibly keep her talking, or spark interest from you to get talking.

If you have to ask other people what you and your girlfriend should talk about, don't worry because.
1) You have nothing in common
2) Its clearly not that serious
3) It won't last long
So just relax and try to get in her pants asap...conversation, not even needed

I just talk to my girlfriend about anything really.
Me and my girl don't share any interests to be honest but that works in our relationship becuase it gives us more to talk about becuase no matter what she is talking about i still listen.

if you dont have anything you can say to her then u have a problem. relax and just start a very broad topic. dont ask her how she is or what the weather is like or w.e because those things are easy to answer in a sentence and ull be stuck again so ask very open questions about her intrests maybe or what her plans are for next week or something like that...
the REAL problem is finding something to say that wont bore her.
i can chat all day about games and programming and rubiks cubes and w.e all day to her but she doesnt really want to hear that....

talking on the internet is much easier then rl.
i hate myself in rl really... im not like fat or anything like that i just have very weird views on a lot of things and im pretty much self sufficient even tho i do have friends i generally dont like 2 be with them in my spare time.

I'll agree with you that it's not hard. However, for those who are shy, intimidated, or scared (rejection, or what that other person will think of them) talking to other people can be a challenge. But in this situation, since he's talking to someone he likes, then I'll assume he doesn't want to come off or be seen in a negative light and only wants to bring the "best" he's got.
Like I and others have said: it's about having a conversation, not small talk. Just be yourself, chill, and just have fun.

question is though.... how long have they've known each other that he has to ask what a gf and bf talks about?.... right? I mean no offense it HAS to have some sort of connection where two people actually understands or have some THING in common on... Where they actually get along on... where they have something to say about. Unless it was rather a quick " get together " as in they get together not long after getting to know each others existance, then he has to think like they're barely going out ask her questions ask her on what she's interested in as people have mentioned. A person could be shy, not to the extend they turn out as a mute.
In simple words, you should already know what to her speak about. You got with that someone for a reason, find that reason out. If you have to ask others what to talk about with your special someone, then I'm afraid you have got this whole " relationship " thing totally wrong... unless of course we're talking about a short term thing... then I suggest you follow Xem's advice on " how to work a good not so long relationship with someone " tips.
