I've never had an american car. Honda civics do rock though. I abuse the hell out of my 88 civic and it still runs like a champ. I did have to replace the alternator though but that only costs $180 if you install it yourself.

I think it means something like "to be" or "it is." Don't take it too literally though since it's more or less a colloquial word for most people; then again, I'm no expert. I was simply mocking weeaboos. =p

its not really just that he only wants american made but him and my brother work on cars. idk if american and non-american cars are different inside but then my dad and brother could work on my car if its american in case it breaks or something.

Google around for a bit, if it's the same (I have no idea but both got an engine/transmission and all the other shit so I dont really know why it would be different) you got alot more choices.

I think the difference between Domestic and Imported vehicles in the engines is that Domestic are easier to work on and less pricey, Imports are more complicated and more expensive.

I'm an Automotive Service Tech in training so, father is an AST and has been for like 30 years so.

And for car i'd think about getting like a '90 Dodge Dynasty, Daytona or Spirit; '90 Chrysler New Yorker, Imperial, or Conquest.
