I saw a Korean one about two brothers where shit happens and one of them ends up fighting for north and other for south, then they find out that they are still alive while on the battlefield.

Movie wasn't that bad; good if you've seen every other war movie out there and need new material.

Forgot what it's called, but i'm sure there's a korean otaku who will know.

the korean war movie is Taegukgi and its pretty good if you want a break from WWII movies. Also good to watch if you hate communists china/north korea

Spoiler!

And yeah someone above mentioned band of brothers. Also full metal jacket is a nice one too.

Enemy at the gates rocks. It's about a famous soviet sniper Vasily Alexandrovich Zaitsev.

I almost fell asleep watching Valkyrie. Then again, maybe it was because it was around 1 in the morning. But uh...Saving Private Ryan (before 2000), The Hurt Locker, Hotel Rwanda, Lord of War, and a few espionage/assassination films like Munich.

Stalingrad. That's -94, though.
The Pianist. And Apocalypse Now Redux.

Well I can't help mentioning Talvisota (The Winter War, -89) and Tuntematon Sotilas (The Unknown Soldier, -55)

Btw, why post-2000?
