… if you are going to use that, you may as well use a touch pad. Why pay for someone for a MOUSE that you use like a TOUCH PAD. Either use a mouse or a touch pad. I mean you may as well make it the shape of a turd, or maybe even the female genitalia. imagine rubbing that all day to accomplish your computer related tasks, or how much more interesting the grind in sro would be...

I'd have to agree. Apples attempts at making mice are pretty lame. IMO they are trying to change the status quo, which is fine i encourage innovation, but if it aint broke....

This is not a TouchPad, it's a merge between touchpad and mouse. It means that you can still move your cursor, clicking, middle clicking, scroll up/down/left/right like touchpad, you can also shake you mouse to trigger some functions or even move round your finger

So Cell what if I own a desktop that doesn't have a touchpad. Then this would be perfect for me. This is made for desktops not laptops.
I don't know of one desktop that already has a touchpad, care to explain?

You just tried to counter what I said while posting the exact same type of product?
High five?

Not really. Just pointing out that there are other and better products than that apple mouse.

Bamboo touch works same way as other bamboo tablets expect that with bamboo touch you use your finger instead of pen (yes I have bamboo tablet).

Did you miss the part where it looks similar to a mouse?

Ok then, at least you have a fair opinion.
But for some people to come in and state that a product is completely useless when it actually has a practical use for people is..... different..

Lol I thought it works just like normal touch pad. But you move your pointer the same old wau moving the whole mouse. Such things as clicking and scrolling happens by touching the surface of the mouse.
Meh it's even worse than I thought.

I have always been semi-anti-apple but I think this mouse looks pretty cool. Does it perform like the demonstration is what I want to know. I'll wait to see some reviews before I judge.

To what i've heard it works just like a normal mouse, but the scroll setting are changed to a touch pad. So it will still be a moveable normal mouse with click functions
correct me if i'm wrong

Hell if I know, I was hoping someone could explain how I could go pew-pew or boom-headshot without a real mouse. It seems over the top imo, much like the gaming mice with >9000 buttons.

Over the top indeed BUT if it is like a regular mouse with a touch pad instead of a "wheel" and some extra buttons, it could still be game friendly.

I don't think you do. It'll basically be like gaming with a big movable trackpad without any buttons. Fingers slipping to the wrong side of the mouse or scroll being activated instead of a right/left click in games could be an issue. Besides, I don't think gaming functionality is one of the mouse's strong points. Fingers activating the wrong keys might be an issue in game.

key points to be noticed in that video
time spent on subjects:
3 mins on the screen
1 minute on the mouse
1 minute on environmentalism
and 40 seconds on the internal hardware
key quotes:
"we even power down between keystrokes"
"you can use it without thought"
tl;dr i hate macs and people who like them and this is another one of their crappy ideas that their fans will eat up.
it's just a normal mouse with a touch pad instead of a wheel it's a stupid over complication of a simple tool (i can wait to see the price of this thing...)
