Is it even supposed to balance? The question says "Calculate the final balances in the accounts. Show that the ledger balances by placing the total of the debits and credits in the spaces provided" wtttttffff!
Typos:
Capital (2) is actually supposed to be 1500
TOTAL CAPITAL: 2240 is actually supposed to be 2440

I have this stuff, not that I'm going to help, just letting you know your pain is shared because I Farking hate that class. How could I ever have been so retarded to choose "Management & Organization" over Spanish. I even tried to change courses but I cut a lot of classes that year and they didn't feel like helping me out for some fucktarded reason.
I go emo over this shit when I have to learn it for testweeks. I have to do exams on this this year, I may end up cutting myself, seriously.
We had to this excel shit as well, it wasn't for a grade it was just to check we didn't watch porn during the month we did it all on the PC. I was the only one in the class who failed it. Man I'd rather kill myself than become an accountant. And the Farking teacher..

don't get me started on that inbred piece of shit.
Good luck though.

Yeah the concept is simple, but you would be surprised by how many small mistakes you would make lmao.
LOL WOUTR. In my school, we have a program we use for the course. I was only using excel because it was the only way I could show people what I did

All my work is done in this massive orange accounting book we got lulz.
I do feel your pain though! You will most likely make more mistakes on excel or any program in that case than pen+paper.
But since I'm retarded, I kept getting an extra $200 difference. That was because I kept copying a wrong digit from my calculator onto my paper.
I can't even comprehend the feeling I got when my ledgers balanced on the first try on another question I had.

I'm still waiting for the moment where I get it balanced on the first try, or any try for that matter ;\

I don't really remember everything from last year but you're in luck since I took the exact same course..
I remember debits must = credits, so for each situation there must be equal reaction.
For number 2 I see 1500 and 500 (possible typo?)
For number 9 I only see one entry
Maybe that's the reason or maybe I totally forget..it's been about a year now so .. ><
edit: did you say in your other post it was just calculator error..? now I feel retarded >.>

Transaction 2 is a typo, its supposed to be 1500 (Under Capital)
Transaction 9: She took out 1400$ for personal use; which means a deficit under the Capital. Theres nothing to compensate for it =\
When I was doing this question in my work book, I calculated the total for Capital which came up to 2440, but I kept writing down 2240 cause I'm stupid.
Woutr, the feeling so great. It puts a smile on your face and the feeling of accomplishment gushes out of your eyes.

For transaction 9 they withdrew $1,400 and so you have to add a credit under the bank because they withdrew it. Because you always have to have equal credits and debits all all times you cannot add a debit somewhere with out a credit.
