Ok, i went to watch Hells Kitchen and came back and my headset wasnt working. I went to system restore and there was a check and i tried restoring to before the system check but it says System restore failed run system restore again? and it keeps saying that what should I do.

ok is it headphones or a headset or some kind of combo and have you tried plugging it into something else so you know its the headphones or the computer. I dunno if somethings wrong with the headwhatevers or the computer by your post...in fact its the worst post asking for help i've ever seen...i don't even feel like it anymore...i quit....

Its a headset, w/ mic.. I tried seeing if it was muted, unmuted it. muted it. unmuted it. unplugged it and stuck it in all my usb ports... speakers work but i rather use my headset :[. i tried system restores and they wont work either.. im mad :[

plug it into something else, like an ipod or a phone. if it doesn't work, just throw it in the garbage. that's what i do.

The problem is, i dont wanna keep spending money on new headsets,... its something to do with vista cause when it runs system checks it always does this.

idk man, i've had a Genius headset plugged in my laptop with vista ultimate for like forever and ever. no problems so far. maybe it's the headset itself, plug it into something else and post results.

I plugged it into my ipod, it didn't work so im guessing its my headset. well looks like i gotta buy a new headset

hmmm, does it have like volume thingie you can turn up and down? maybe you have it on minimum? lol
also, don't use headsets while your ears or hair are wet. fcks them up.
