Today in my college Microsoft came to show us their latest products and while they did the launch of windows 7, 40 people were choosen to go and they showed us windows 7 which looks awesome and they gave us a bunch of free goodies.

We all got offical copies of:

Windows 7 Ultimate
Windows Vista
Windows XP
Windows server 2008
SQL server
Visual Studio 2008

But at the end they wanted questions to be asked and my friend asked a question about tunneling or something, don't remember. Then they gave him a HD waterproof video camera!

They gave out 4 of those and loads of T-shirts which was awesome (i got none *sadface*) but at the end they said look under you chair and if there is an envelope stuck under it come on up, me and two others had them and we got XBOX 360 Elites! so happy its unreal.

Such an amazing day lol.

Lucky....and i had to pay $20 for my copy of Windows 7 Ultimate.

ill post a picture of the xbox after i format my computer and put on Windows 7, cant post picture of the software becuase i just download all them from microsoft with my student ID & pass.

Damn I wish MS would come to my school and give me $1000 worth of stuff for nothing.

Drexel University also has unlimited dl's for Windows 7. My friend gave me a serial but I'm hesitant to install it after seeing various benchmarks.

just a question... which directx software do i need to install to run games in dx10 on win7? (64 bits)

cuz right now i have the latest version of directx installed (which doesn't actually specify if it's dx10 or not) and all my games crash after running for 10min-ish in dx10 mode.

lol vista owns all , why would you ever want to replace it..

happynoobing, type dxdiag in the search bar of the start menu and press enter. Should open a window that tells you what version DX is installed. Windows 7 ships with Directx11. (I think)

Your crashing could be caused by all kinds of different things. What is a "crash"? to desktop? BSOD? Freeze-up? Try different drivers like Deadsolid suggested then go from there. (Use driver cleaner before installing new drivers.)
