Can anyone advise me a really good program which could extract/separate human voice and background music from a video. You know, program ppl usually use in dubbing.

ps: i'm not asking a program to dub, but to extract background music from human voice... :D

Is that even possible without the original file which has both the music and voice files?

I don't think this is possible since a song on a video is compiled. you would need the original source file (from whatever program it was made it).

It's impossible to completely remove the voice from the background music or vice versa, unless you have a copy of either one, then you can cancel out the waves - or something like that.

However, there are programs that can be used to reduce the background music/voice or amplify the background music/voice. It can be done to an extent but not as perfect as having the two audio right before they were mixed.

Adobe Audition has the Center Channel Extractor filter to do it.
Winamp has a dsp_centercut plugin that does it too.

Again, they're not perfect.

no, I like the background music of a film, but the film producer didn't release the OST, so I have to use this way :(
