Ahhhh man, today I came to the realization that we are in a age of texting to some sort...

Everyone I know texts....
While they are taking test ...Text
When they are talking to each other ......Text
When they are driving.......Text
When they are peeing....text

There are some people that I don't even understand, they pull their phone out every 15 seconds and they text. Who the hell could you possibly be texting at 6:00 in the god damn morning?

Now I do have a cell phone and I do occasionally text but god damn some people are just addicted to this shit.

What freaking world do we live in that people will even text while at a doctors appointment..

Yes I understand the whole free texting scenario but are you one of those people that compulsively text every 15 seconds?

Because I am sure that 95% of people here do that.

@Mirosuke, ya I had friends as well, but evens o I proffer hearing a voice rather than typing all day.

many of the new young generations find it easier to express something over text than thru their actual voice

i text when it's needed and talk when needed, though i prefer talking a bit more than texting

I don't really do it much. If I know it's gonna be a long conversation then I would call that person, but if it's only a quick question I would text it. I'm not the type of person who likes to talk for a long time, so I don't really call anyone. Come to think of, I don't really use my phone much.

and i don't text every 15 seconds i just have random texting sessions then its silent for a few days

I text whenever its inappropriate/forbidden to talk on the phone.

I don't text but I get text alerts when I have to fill out orders for people. And I check them even when I'm in the shower etc. Does that count?

sometimes it's useful, but I'm not a big texter, cuz I see every one I know daily, and if I don't, I don't care.

And about texting at 6 am, I sometimes do that too, as I am already on my way at 6, so I can text people with a quick question as others are also on their way at 6 already.

i don't text. my phone is used for calls that last 30sec-3min MAX. It has 11mb of storage space. I use it's shitty camera to take pictures of my cat so i can set it as my wall paper and show people how much better she is than them...i...am a man

yea i text sometimes but i think its just dumb how much ppl text like they just cant stop and that clicking i always hear is Farking getting on my nerves

I used to text loads.. not so much anymore.

Dont have a clue how anyone could possibly live without a mobile phone though.

LOLZ that is not alot. I just hit 352 texts yesterday and that was a slow day. Right now I'm at about 255 texts and busy text time is even here yet.

I stopped texting at 12. Whenever someone texts me I call them, it's cheaper :s

I usually just either call people or IM them on my phone. The only time I text is when I'm too busy to talk or reply to someone every 10 seconds on msn/ym/aim.

I text if it is going to be a short conversation, like asking someone a quick question. But if I know I am going to be in a longer, more engaging conversation, I would prefer to call them.

I'm not like that and i think its pretty dumb you will blindly say 95% of this forum does it. I hate the people who text in dark places like a theatre. or people like my sister who will lay on the couch and text her friend instead of going on comp and getting on msn or just calling.

I dont have in it in my plan, and even if i did, i wouldnt be hose addicts who check it every 15 seconds. I'd only text because I wuoldnt feel like calling someone in a public place and it would be weird. A long term convo can be applied thru texts

I don't know what can be said on texts that can't be said in a phone call.
