i hate american idol but i love Ellen DeGeneres she is pretty funny imo
dont u have to have some professional singing exp if ur a judge?

BTW simon doesnt have experience in singing as far as i know, so i d have to say no.

i like ellen...ellen is fun and funny and nice and joy to listen to...
none of that can be said about the other people up there.
Oh and stop acting like american Idol is serious business, the show sucks, the talent sucks, i can't name a single song by any of the winners so its not like this is a big deal for the music industry and heads will roll etc etc...the people who actually care that much about this decision are people i never want to meet irl...

Cuz they're both played by Nicole Parker in MadTV, so they're kinda alike..
Never liked Paula really, and her show was fun, I don't mean the talkshow but the show about her life from a few years ago, good old times...

Simon Cowell Offered As Much As $144 Million "American Idol" Contract

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Simon Cowell has been offered four times his annual $36 million salary for Fox's "American Idol." The show's judge will reportedly earn up to $144 million per year should he stick with his contract when it expires in May.
According to The Guardian, co-producers Fox and 19 Entertainment have offered Cowell between $100 million to $144 million next year. They can't seem to let go of their British import as his snide and frank criticism of the wannabes partly keeps the audience glued in to their TV sets.
Cowell and U.K. business tycoon Sir Philip Green are reportedly negotiating the terms of what would be a new contract for "American Idol."
A source close to Sir Philip told the paper, "This is about properly owning himself, Brand Cowell, everything he does, new formats, and new programs, not just the ones starring him."
The talent show has recently concluded its eighth season, with Kris Allen winning over crowd favorite Adam Lambert.
