There was nothing ignorant about the video. So the NRA and gun owners are cast in a bad light. Thats a shame but every point made was factual. The US has a history of turning its fears into violence and guns played a major role, thats just the ugly truth.

I never said that the video had inaccuracies (I dont know what reise is talking about either). My beef with the video is that its made to REPRESENT American history. Its completely biased with the intention of painting the USA as a violent, lawless wild where bigotry is accepted and racism embraced. Thats obviously not a fair way to judge the United States. Whats ignorant is not the video, but the person(s) behind it.

Thats not what the video is portraying at all. If thats all you got out of it then i think you need to watch it again. The video is showing how closely Americans fear and knack for violence are related. That the NRA and the KKK may have connections should not overshadow the overall theme. You can't talk about American history without mentioning its racist heritage, its deeply ingrained and the effects can still be seen today, many go unnoticed because ppl would never guess that they had racist origins unless they really knew history. The video takes the ugly truths in a comical light and you can call it biased but if a teacher were to explain the same thing he would basically be giving you the same info, just not as entertaining. There is certainly more to American history than that but the video does say its a brief....

Right, after reading the comments I watched the video too. Seems historically accurate to me, even though made in a style that mocks the US. It's in the category "comedy" on youtube, and not for example "education." I may generalize a bit but I'd say it represents, to some extent at least, the european view of the US (and US history).

I find it funny that the video manages to anger/annoy a gunowner and a guy with US flag as avatar and location "land of the free". Just Sayin'.
