Hey SRF,

Part 1:

Whilst I was looking around Youtube, I came across The Trailer For 2012 Movie. Now, apart from immediately making me say, “OMG want to watch!” It made me remember all the talk and controversy surrounding the 2012 prophecy. Well, curiosity got the best of me and I started opening some sites that have all this supposed information on 2012, anyway I opened the Official Movie Website and got checking out, when I came across this and I found it awesome.

The Institute For Human Continuity is a fake organisation which the movie promoters created for the launch, however they did something amazing, they created a “Competition” for one amongst all of us (Well Specifically legal residents of the U.S who are 18years and older) so not all of us really, to become the “leader” of the Post 2012 world. Now, I was going to sign up for this, but I'm in Canada and unfortunately this is not open to Canada. Therefore, I thought I would bring this forward to you members of SRF, (those who are legal residents of the U.S and 18 years or older) and challenge you to apply, compete in the competitions, which will be a series of mind and leadership challenging skill games and become the leader of this post 2012 world. All the information you need is on the website, and of when I posted this you had 12 days to apply.
So, best of luck to all of you who apply, hopefully this will be a great fun if you decide to go forward with it, if not then at least we are going to have a great movie to look forward to.

Part 2:

Now, on a lighter side, what do you guys actually think of this whole 2012 Appocalypse stuff? Do we have some diehard believers, or critics? It would be really interesting to hear what you guys have to say. Personally, I'm a semi believer, when 2012 comes around, I feel as if I'm going to live my year differently, and hey if life ends on 2012, then it ends. If not, then life continues and all is good.
Now, as for which theory? Personally, I would hope it to be the Nibiru one. Dying do to radiation would suck, and I’ve been through too many EarthQuakes to get killed by one, I have a reputation to uphold.

Well anyway, lets hear what you guys have to say.

Someone, i think doppleganger, posted some video of some guy who talked (yeah very specific i know) which summed everything up.. which i liked.

I'm not really worried about the world ending. Whether it be 2012 or some later date, or never at all. There's not a whole lot we can do about it. I'm not going to be storing up a massive supply of 5 gallon wheat buckets. Or an arsenal for that matter. I'll probably just go find Reise or something.

I don't believe the world will end in 2012 though.

I shall rule the new world! >:3.



Looks pretty awesome though, destruction on a mass scale is always nice.

I like the 2012 concept, I get a good laugh out of idiots believing it.

But lets not start this debate again. If you want to believe in it, by all means do.

if Mayans are so smart, why are they dead now?

they stopped there calender at 2012, big deal, maybe they thought planning theyre civilization 2 thousand years in advanced was a a bit much... hell i cant even get myself to flip my own calender ever month. not worried.

Also, I have already hosted an end of the world party (2000). I'm pretty sure it's a major faux pas to host 2....

I find the whole idea behind 2012 very interesting. Personally, out of the theories that I have heard, I also think that planet Nibiru crashing into Earth seems the most plausible one.

I like the part of the video that says the planet was called "Winged disc in the past by humans".

End of Mayan Calendar, End Of Earth, 1 of 3 Most likely "scientific" reasons, Planetary Collision, Solar Flare from polar switch, earthquakes and pretty much world implosion from core spinning.

Most likely "other worldly" reasons, we get visited again, the "Tree of re-birth" will be shown to the world again, cosmic energy of alignment with the Milky Way's dead (black) path.

As i said before, i hope its Nibiru (planetary collision) cuz all the other ones just sound fruity, and i have a reputation to uphold with Earthquakes.

Interesting. When did people discover that Earth will be destroyed? WHY WASN'T I NOTIFIED?!?!

Planetary collision would be interesting to witness, from a distance.

According to the video, they didn't do so to avoid mass panic.

I don't really believe in this 2012 stuff, but it would suck if it was true.
