Ok so I am chilling as usual in Egypt, working my way through the all inclusive (you know us Dutchies.. well.. j/k it's actually the russians that go mental on the all inclusive)
And then last night my tummy went berserk, I puked so much I was actually grasping for air. When I wasn't puking like a maniac I was literally shitting myself because of high speed diarrhea...
I've never ever felt so shit as last night. Now this morning we've self diagnosed me with food poison, the doctor isn't working today (hardmode being a doctor in Egypt)

So here I am, broken from last night, a fever so high I'm still cold with the A/C on at 27 degrees (that's Celsius) and worst of all: I'm missing my divetrip to the Blue Hole, which is like.. totally super awesome.

Im stuck in my room with this piece of shit macbook, and I'm in need of tips as to what I can do.
Also, if someone knows what kind of food I should(nt) be eating, let me know. Right now I'm on a water diet

loool im from a third world country, i swear whenever i go to the US water tastes even a bit sweet from all the cleansing and vitamins and stuff in it, ok here are some tips for you:
1. dont drink water from the utilities, u have to buy pure water in third world countries or boil some or buy a purifier and then boil it!.

2. the best thing to eat whenever u go to a third world country, sadly... is mcdonalds, the recipe is the same everywhere and will be the best food ur stomach is used too.... leave the local meals tasting for the last week or go to a very expensive place for that to make sure everything has prime ingredients.

3.people in third world countries are generally fun, helpful, and with millions of stories to tell, just go find someone who speaks english and have a good talk till u feel better. (how not to have cool stories in countries where the cops are the bad guys, money talks, and illegality is everywhere).

Yea well thats what i think, sorry.

Eat light foods that digest easily, none of that heavy stuff. Avoid food stalls as the plague, if there's a good supermarket with packed food, that might be something. That or get something from the hotel restaurant if it's a good one.

As of what to do... I've never been to Egypt, but walking around with a camera and just looking around can be fun. Especially if you're not feeling well enough to go on the tourist trips and all that stuff.

dont ever drink the tap, get bottled water its the safest. If I went to china or southeast asia (and I probably never will) I would boil the water. Haven't you learned in biology class about tapeworms and other parasites? Gotta be careful dude!!

well don't eat any meat sold on the street . just avoid food stalls . except for (fool & taamia) which won't be easily digest but safe , uhhhh just avoid any food sold on the street .
iono if you're staying in a hotel or not but don't buy your meat from small shops / small markets .

Sounds like my trip to Mexico 3 weeks ago, except I got sun poisoning on my foot on the first day there. I had to stay in the room pretty much the whole trip and miss our tour to Tulum, and this other place.

I hope your "water diet" is from water bottles. Seriously, that's like the number one rule of traveling to places like that, never drink the local water, your immune system isn't used to it. Basically what everyone else said, eat from the hotel if it's a good one or find yourself a mc donalds or something like that.

I lost internet so couldn't reply, of course I didn't get sick from the tapwater, I'm not completely retarded.
The food poisoning incident caused me to lose 4 kg, but that was mostly because I was hesitant to eat much after my terrible night.

This was our fourth trip to Egypt, so we didn't take much pics, but here's a few.
(I'll be Farking damned if these pics don't work now, it always seems to fail for me, you go fix it for me if it does)
