It looks like you will need a new video card soon, if its still under warranty send it back. You should get a replacement.

Sure it isn't your monitor? Test a diff PC/game console etc to make sure.

I recommend downloading a program called "EVGA Precision" , it lets you change fan speeds aswell as other specs on your graphics card.
looks like your card is nearing its end..

it may just be over heating, suggest upping fan speed.

Get an ATi 4870HD X2 if you really want to spend some money. I have one and I can run Crysis and CoD5 at the same time and ALT+TAB between the two without graphical lag. :)

Get a new card. Mine died exactly like this about 2 months ago.

If it was the monitor I think it wouldn't show up on the screenshot

i have a question, sorry to jack the topic but..

i have a geforce 6800 GT and it is overheating if i play an average graphics game(silkroad). I am wondering if I upgrade to a better card will the overheating stop? or become worse?

No card should be over heating in a normal case in a normal environment. So..check fan speeds, clean fan, new card if both of those don't work.

Old cards tend to need replacement thermal gel also. I wouldn't go taking the heatsink and stuff off it unless you knew what you were doing though. If the obvious things aren't working (drivers, dusting, tweaking fan speed) I'd get ready to invest in a new card.

No. I'm not a bot. I'm just trying to elaborate on the superiority of this GPU card. I mean, if you wanted to bot on several games at once, go for it. :)
