i thought it sounded like a MIDI should sound...until about then then it got extra bad but considering the song they were working with what could you expect...

the song, yes. the midi file? no
i personally think it's great. it's like someone took the sound "HURRRRRDURRRRR" and captured it in music. the way it progressively gets worse and worse and how the melody is always flat--even in the "best" parts--truly makes it a work of art.

it's also horribly dissonant. tritones, minor sevenths, lala. the melody lags a bit in a couple places. the pitch starts off somewhere then goes down, like it's melting. idk it just gives me a hilarious mental image. maybe you have to be a bit of a sadist to think it's funny.
plus, it's a midi. it should be perfectly in tune, on beat, etc. it was crafted to sound as bad as it does.
