Can;t we have a 10 games to utterly erase Micheal Jackson from your memory, seriously what an overkill of media attention.
I'm getting 'MJ tired'

I don't really see it as overkill. The man was big. He prob is the equivalent in popularity of Jesus in our time. Jesus rose to popularity, known throughout the land, later hated by the people, than his death brought about a widespread campaign of Christianity. (I'm only comparing the 2 with respect to their popularity for their time so chill)

MJ influenced a permanent change in music. He also is known throughout the world. Of all the deaths we've seen in the past, not many had such a widespread effect simply because so many knew of him. It's like with everything else. It doesn't really matter unless you actually can connect to it. Many people connected with MJ. He's been famous for almost 40 years. That's about 3 generations of fans. How many people do you know that directly affected 3 generations of the entire world during their life.

How many people do you know? Most of these fans dont know him...you cant say you know someone cause you listen to someones songs, thats like saying you know a actor cause of the movies he acted in...

MJ for life. He was one of the biggest musicians that has ever lived. He deserves the attention. If you don't like it just shut the F up, instead of ruining this thread.

Than what do you know than. Are you saying that unless you personally experience something, you can't know about it? Knowledge is only gained through a first-hand method? I'm sure millions of people have felt bad at some point in their life and had their spirits lifted by MJ's voice. You don't have to personally know someone like an old friend to be affected by their death. Unless you are as thick as a rock I suppose.

I think you can know someone by listening to their song or work. Art is a way of self-expression.

I can understand being upset, but to be honest none of us knew this man personally. He didn't really influence you in any way, unless you went to neverland -.-

Its just that its total overkill everywhere! Anywhere you go you hear about the man without a nose >.>
