Still, i wouldn't suggest people not to watch the movie, its not a bad 2hours. Just don't get your hopes up too much. =)

Now, i enjoyed the End of the world aspect to it, but the whole alien thing??? God that just bombed. I mean, they could have maybe pulled it off, if the aliens werent just some people who stand there, incapable of speech.. however, what really threw it over the OMG WTF SUCK meter was the true true ending. ADAM & EVE and the Tree of EDEN? SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!??!!.... i facepalmed hard

Anyway. Enjoy

Well supposedly they arent aliens....they are like angel type people..thats why they didnt hurt the kids or w/e...and that tree is supposedly the "Tree of Life"

I actually really liked this movie (although most of my class left the theater whining about the same things everyone in this thread is) i would definitely recommend it but if youre going to watch it you need an open mind and its a lot more interesting if you look for recurring themes and whatnot

could you list some of these? Cuz i would hate to have missed them, like i said i liked the movie but it lacked for me, so maybe i missed out on things.

Well, im sure you know that 2012 is supposed to be the end of days right? There are a couple of thing for it, 1 is the Mayan Calender, the other is the apparent polar shift, and another one which i've been reading up on is the apparent near collision of a planet that is called Nibiru. Anyway, according to i think the Mayan prophesy, not only does their calender end on 2012, but "The tree of life, which gave life to the Mayan people will return once more to the earth" OWTTE. So, thats why i thought they played the Tree of life card in the ending there. Personally im not a big believer in the whole 2012 end of days prophesy. However, i do enjoy reading up on all the theories and conspiracies for it. Its pretty funny, and intriguing at the same time tbh. But just like any other prophesy, one can never prove it until it happens no? and even when it happens, how can you prove that the prophesy was real. I mean, take Nostradamus' supposed prophesy for the 9/11 attacks. So many versions, so many changes, so many adaptations. Can one really call it truth?
