Kimberley Vlaminck, 18, claimed that she asked for only three stars to be tattooed near her left eye as a present from her father, Diego, who was upholding a family tradition of tattoos.

"My father wanted to pay because in our family everyone has a tattoo," she said.

As her father ate an ice cream outside, Miss Vlaeminck claims she fell asleep before waking up to find her face covered in the "nightmare" tattoos.

"When he started to tattoo me, I did not feel pain and I fell asleep. I awoke as he tattooed me on the nose and I saw what he had done. I counted 56 stars," she said.

"I cannot go out on to the street, I am so embarrassed. I just look ugly, a freak, mutilated."

Miss Vlaeminck and her family are seeking damages worth £9,000 to pay for laser surgery to remove the tattoos.

But Rouslan Toumaniantz, who runs the Courtrai tattoo parlour called The Tattoo Box, has denied the allegations and demanded payment of 50 euros for the stars.

"She was awake all the time. I did not hypnotise or dope her, as they say, it was with agreement. No way could I have tattooed so many stars on her face against her will," he said.

Mr Toumaniantz has counterclaimed that the problems only began when the father saw his teenage daughter's tattoos.

However, Toumaniantz is fighting back, saying that he gave her exactly what she wanted. “She was awake and looked into the mirror several times as the procedure was taking place. The trouble all started when she went home and her father and boyfriend threw a fit.”

Her story does raise a number of questions. Why did she pay and leave the tattoo parlour without complaining? Why was it not a problem until she arrived at home?

LOL ABSOLUTE BULL! There's no way she just falls asleep while getting her face tattooed.

She obviously asked for those stars and after he finished with it, she realized how ugly it looked so she made up some stupid story. Like anyone is going to believe she fell asleep while getting a tattoo on her face!

Well she asked for it IMO.
In 1 intervieuw she says that she fall asleep, in an other one she said she asked him 3 times to stop. There is also a withnes(or however its spelled) that says that she asked for that tattoo.
She was also happy with the tattoo, until she saw the reaction of her dad, then she began to freak out.

This is entirely off topic, but I used to date a tattoo artist who also did piercings and she'd get me drunk and get me agree to piercings in places I otherwise wouldn't have agreed to (Use your imagination). They were just piercings and I could take them out though; if she did it with a tat I'd be quite pissed.

As for this woman I think she did it on purpose thinking, "Hey, a small star is cute. 56 small stars would be super cute!"

I agree it's pretty hard to believe she'd fall asleep, and stay asleep, while getting all those tatoos, especially around the more sensitive parts of the face.

The ice cream part was a little confusing. The story said that her father was outside eating ice cream, but it said the girl went home after the procedure and that's when her father and boyfriend threw a fit. So her father didn't throw a fit when she got outside before going home?
