They're still after Villa and Xabi Alonso.
C. Ronaldo is a twat for accepting this btw, he might be making more money, but still, he should know Real madrid's rep. Where's the fun in playing for a club that buys everythign it wants, without ever really building a solid team.
Plus, he told everyone he'd rather stay at manchester a while ago, which, considering him now leaving, makes him a dick.
Shame, wasted talent.

It's also about fitting in. The premiership's the best competition in the world, why leave. He was making millions at manchester to. People we're seeing him as the next david beckham, and better.
I wouldn't have left tbh.
Then again, maybe he's all in for the money, which would trouble his judgement.
Fact is. Manchester United > Real Madrid.
Has been for several years. He's not upgrading in anything else then paycheck.

You're not in the same position as he is. So it's easy talk for you. Trust me if you would get the chance you'd go for the money too just like him and everyone else.
He already achieved everything he can at MU. Like Heroo said, time for a new chapter

This was coming, being a Arsenal fan im glad he's gone. Will suck to lose such a great player/entertainer. Going to be interesting to see who man u get to replace ronaldo.
PS Arsenal to get Alonso.

However a new chapter should not just be a change in salary. I'm more the fun and games type of guy, so in his position, I defo wouldn't have done the same. I'd have stayed the star of the premier league, or looked at a club where something beautifull could happen.
I hate Perez's policy at real madrid, he just buys buys buys.

Want facts?
Real Madrid 9 Champions Leagues > Man U 3
Real Madrid UEFA cups 2 > Man U 1
Intercontinental cups 3 > Man U 1
Best team of the 20th Century award: Real Madrid choosen with the 42,35% of the votes, Man U managed to get 9,69 % of the votes.
Facts and results speak for themselves as you said. You can say Man U was a much better team this last seasons, that is true.

As a Man Utd support, i'm sad he's gone. He was the only entertainment i got from football anymore.
Though, if i was Ronaldo i would've joined Real Madrid anyway. He wanted to move clubs a year ago, but Man Utd said no. He wanted change, i dont blame him.

Ofcourse i'm talking about recent seasons, i'm not interested in ancient history. Right now, it doesn't seem like the right career move.

Btw.
Analists predict he's not going to Real Madrid at all.
Reason:
Ronaldo just signed a 5 year contract with Nike last month, therefore it would be weird for him to go to a club sponsored by adidas. Nike would never allow it.
lol @ update 1 min after i posted this.
Some dude at Nike denies everything, claiming Ronaldo is free to go. Interesting to see how this plays out.

I'd hate to say it, but this could potentially ruin next years title challenges. Not saying he's the only player in the team, but he was rather important and a huge threat to every opposing team.

With 80m ManU can spend it on raw talent bringing in new youngsters like they did with C.R.

No...Ronaldo made Man Utd NOTHING, Manchester United took this young, kid who
was a one trick pony and over 6 years turned him into one of the best players in
the world. Also for 80 million thats good investment for the future and lets
face it...Alex Ferguson is the ONLY and the ONLY manager in the world who has
FULL control over club transfers, keep in mind Madrid made an offer of around
70 million at the end of last season and Ferguson said no...so Ronaldo didn't go.
Think any other manager in the world has say over an offer worth that much?
Truth is that Ronaldo (if you believe him and the gossip) is a life long fan of
Madrid and has been wanting to play for them ever since he was a little kid. Also
given how hes has one everything he can win with Man Utd there is very little
reason for him to stay.
Priam is right, Hes going for the money and even if he does go Madrid still wont
win anything, i mean Madrid are YEARS off winning the champions league and buying
all the best players doesn't mean that they will gel well togther and even play
well.
This is Madrids problem, they go out and buy the best players each season without
giving their team time to build up a solid foundation and as such struggle in
competitions when a good team digecis is needed to win the major competitions
(league and champions league).

Fact of the matter is that Speaking as a Manchester United fan i really....and i
mean i REALLY HATE Real Madrid
(not as much as Liverpool)
Now why do i hate them? well Chelsea like Madrid just seem to blow money away like
there is no tomorrow, now where as Madrid as a rich history as one of the best
teams in the world (Chelsea nothing without their money, fans bitching and moaning
when they finished 3rd in the league, yet a few season ago lucky to finish 10th
)
What pissess me off about them is that their board members are complete idiots and
morons...i mean their general elections (for board members) is just based on random
boast of rubbish. But the main thing is how they act and their expectations, they
go out and try to buy the best players thinking that a team full of the best
players in the world will make them the best...unfortunately doesn't work like that.
Its whats caused their current decline, they went out and brought the so called
"best players" in the world (Robben, Henzie, etc...)and they were awful...won
one trophy in 4-5 years.
Even the last time they won the Spanish League by a HUGE margin was back when
the current England manger, Fabio Capella (< spelling?) (also season when Beckham
left). Now how did the Real Madrid board reward their manager for basically walking
to the league in such a dominate fashion? a new contract you may ask? promises
of more spending money to build on his squad? no...their fired him...yes thats
right...because to many of the games they won were 1-0 matches and they decided
that Real Madrid wasn't playing enough "attractive" football. As such they got
even worse and have done nothing since.
This is why i hate them...their a team with such ridiculous expectations that
anyone who looks at their history can see that they expect way to much of their
players and managers, they fire them for playing "boring" football even after
winning the league. But when all is said and done at the end of the day money cant
buy everyone... cesc fabregas turned down a move to Madrid stating after
Arsenal he would only ever play for Barcelona, leaving the Madrid board left
to scratch their heads, wondering why he would turn down such a large contract
to play for his childhood club, and that...is the problem with Real Madrid.

Cesc Fabregas started his career as a trainee in Barcelona... his childhood club isnt Real Madrid.
