Ok, I've looked on Apple's website, I've googled, but I just can't think of what to actually google for, cause it isn't showing up. I think I saw somewhere recently, about Apple having some sort of conference or something where they show their "next big thing" or such like that. Thought it was supposed to happen this month, but am I wrong? Hoping it's real soon because I want to know if I should get the IPod Touch now, or wait for the next gen.

I'd say wait for next gen. Since iPod Touch has be modified and actualized so fast since the first one was relased. Just my opinion, im not a really fan or follower of Apple and/or iPods.

Thing is, I don't want to wait for the next gen if the updates aren't really worth it. Which is why I'm wondering when their conference thing is.

Macworld 2009 was on January. I don't know other Apple conference/expos other than that. The next one is on February 2010.

No, the next one is in june/july. Pretty quick.

The keynote won't be done by Jobs this year, however he will hold a small presentation a little later, which will probably mean the anouncement of the next Iphone/Itouch.

I'd heard Jobs wouldn't be doing it, illness I think?

A new iPhone, means a new iTouch. It's a certainty.

Doubt it.

I've still got the 1st Gen.

If they make higher memory capacity available for the same price as the lower memory (like, 16 for the price of a current 8 ) ones, that'll be worth it on its own.

We'll see. I'm hoping for the 2nd Gen to be way priced down. I'll upgrade to that then.

If that's all that happens, I'll wait for that too. Best thing is, I know when it happens (if it does) because I work in Electronics Department.

Apple's keynote will be this monday, and will be covered live at several internet site's.

Got the Ipod touch. If they announce anything worthy, I'll be returning it.

Didn't want to wait to buy the touch.

Usually all non phone related thing get transfered to the touch as well. Such as the compass.

The compass is hardware-related, not software So Apple would have to get a new iTouch first(yes i'm lazy for not typing iPod Touch)

A bit of a bump.
I would have the new OS3.0 if only the piece of shit that is itunes would update. Tried updating windows, did nothing. Every time I click the button for updating, it sits there for a few seconds as if its loading, then stops and does nothing else. What the crap?
