Where my file go?!

Ok so I opened my half finished book report from school through my mail. Instead of save I just pressed open and I finished the Farking thing and then just pressed save, not save as.

Now I can't find the file. It's not in recent documents, it's not turning up in search results it's just Farking gone. Did I fail or is this some kind of sick microsoft prank? :(
I hope I can get it back, spent an unorthodox amount of time on it for a Farking book report.

i think when you don't save the attachment and open it directly, it is saved on the temp folder. if you closed word then your temp file should've been deleted. you can check your temp folder just in case. or open word and look on the recently opened doc files, pray that your file is there.

urhg **** it, it's not there. I guess this thread was kinda pointless anyways, the file didn't turn up with the advanced search function so I guess it's just not there.
Gonna have to do it again T_T

so you did check the temp folder? c:/documents and settings/(user)/local config/temp
also, window's search function is the gayest shit ever. there's lots of better programs that will do that for you more accurately and faster btw.

Open the file from your mail again > click on save as > you'll see the directory where it would be saved- and the file you saved there before >.<
Quik, copy and paste it to desktop :P
