I was watching One Piece dubbed version and I realized that they had changed so many things from the subbed version...except the violence. So my question is wtf is up with the western mindset? Parents let's 5 year old kids watch cartoons in where people get cut in half but when 2 people of the same sex kiss they are "OMG! How could they show this on TV to our precious innocent kids! OMG!! How dare they poison our children's minds! TOTAL OUTRAGE!!!" It's real life people. Military guys with big guns attacking snake people that make weird hissing sounds at you is not real life.

No I just used One Piece as an example because it has a lot of content that western society would deem "inappropriate" so 4kids dropped it and before they dropped it alot of stuff was edited out except alot of the violence. I was talking about G.I. Joe in my last sentence.

No you guys fail. I just say 4kids and you guys take it out of complete context. I'm talking about the content on which kids are raised on and the mindset of the parents that let them watch this. Not 4kids, not anime, but television content.Get it straight. This thread should now be locked,the thread I started is just a passing thought and this is about to turn into a flame fest.

One Piece is still air on 4kids? Anyway do you not get the reason why its named "4Kids", I'm sure parents wouldn't mind language if it was named "4Teens". Hmm actually scratch that...I actaully have an anwser but would start a morality debate so never mind.
