I just found a game i wanted to buy that is worth $40 in stores for ~$17 (under brand-new category). What i wanna ask is, is it safe buying from ebay, like could it be a scam?

I've never bought from ebay so yeah..

Link to auction or just check the posters history. If it's good, you can usually trust them. If they're new, you're taking a risk.

The seller has 100% positive feedback and all the feedback from the customers seem to be good.

If u get scammed u get your money back pretty much so ya ebay is safe i spend alot of money i bought my 360 from ebay about 15 or more games 2 wireless black controllers. I got a play and charge kit with 2 batteries wireless headset also my 120GB elite hard drive only thing im missing is my 12 month live i bought which i think seller aint going to send it( i belive he had 80% as well). I think im gonna have to do a report other than that u can trust ebay and ya i recommend only buying from 100% sellers other than that u can find games really cheap heck i bought gt4 18 dollars i belive pretty much all the items i bought where less expensive than buying from ebgames pre owned or brand new in stores.

make sure u read the full description in the item before u bid i remember i bidded on a game didnt really read the full description it said game in english and game manual in spanish i went back and realized it good thing someone out bided me and if u lose on a bid dont worry theres a probability u will find a cheaper one happened to me alot i got like 39 didnt win items lol.

Its a Fifa 09 game, I wanna get the fifa 2010 when it comes out so this is just to waste time =p
