Terminator Salvation?

I went to see this over the weekend. I was excited enough its the first time I actually went to a theatre in years.

I spose I was a bit disappointed. The plot wasnt all that impressive. Missing most of the main characters for 1 and 2 (we'll say that three never happened) it didnt much have that "terminator" feel.

Some of the machines were cool. But I think they coulda done much more. They only had... 4? types of machines. Not very impressive. And the ending was a bit corny.

T2 is the kind of movie, any time it came on cable I'll sit down and watch it. But T4, I would say "I've seen that already."

it was ok. boring at some parts. some parts you were like "oh cmon". I wouldnt recommend it unless you're a die hard terminator fan.

It was...bleh. Moon Bloodgood is a total hot badass but other than that, the movie is a bitter disappointment.

Very meh.

Thing that made Terminator 1 & 2 so great was that they were chase movies, hell
even 3 was (and it was shite) but with number 4 we finally get to see the future
world of the machine...and its very....meh.

Bad plot, bad dialogue, only thing the film has going for it our the action
scenes.

It can be called a Terminator movie just because Arnold Schwarzenegger appears naked at least once. lol

Honestly the movie was meh. Way better than Wolverine's Origins though. I was falling asleep in the movie watching that. I dunno, but I just can't really explain why T4 was just meh.

I haven't seen it either. I did have high hopes for it though, but after reading all of you're comments I'm not that sure if it's worth the effort.

Well, the "world of machines" was kinda boring. Seriously, theres not a whole lot going on. Occasional terminator here, occasional giant terminator there.

T1/T2 had its suspense - as said, they were chase type movies. And every time the terminator was coming, there was that sound in the background. Plus the terminators were bad ass, rutheless. 1 and 2 had awesome story/plot going for it.

This ones story plot isnt much of anything. Its "we fight machines, etc". If your watching T2 even on the couch, its one of those movies you hurry to piss so that you dont miss anything. If your watching T4, you could go take a piss, get a popcorn refill, and check out some movie posters without missing anything relevant, except the very end.

You dont even see skynet until the very very end >.< I expected this big orchestrated war n battles between humans and skynet. Most of the movie is desert/run down cities with an occasional robot.

It did have its cool scenes though.

So it's not like the flashbacks the dude had in Terminator 1 where everyone had lasers and it looked like they were fighting through this massive destroyed city that resembled a junk yard? They could have made a whole movie like that and it would've been awesome.

Yeah well in T1/T2 they portrayed armies of terminators walking over skulls and bones with tank like machines along side em and stuff, and yes lasers and all

This whole movie is like, city rubble, with a few terminators patrolling it, and one scene with 1-2 sweet ass terminators. Maybe like, 3-4 variety of machines.

This was thee coolest one (dont click!!!)

Spoiler!

Ah, I see. That's to bad. I guess it's worth to rent it to pass those rainy days then.

That's true. I remember those flashbacks a little. I haven't seen Terminator 1 in years. And I'm one of those guys who doesn't have it on the shelf. I know, shame on me. I guess they just make a lot of crappy movies these days. Reviews for some of the ones that are out are really bad. I still carry Transformers 2 in my heart though, and I am hoping that they don't mess that one up. But if they do, I will have my rainy days taken care off. :]

It blows my mind how they haven't made a good video game based on this yet.
