After the whole Dell buying Alienware issue that happened some time back, this is the first real sighting (AFAIK) of the next step that Alienware is taking. Having woken up this morning to an email from Dell, informing me of this new "Power". I was greeted at the website, which can be accessed by clicking the image above, by a countdown clock which now stands at 12Days, 10Hours, 52Minutes.

Now, normally i don't get too wound up by countdown clocks on websites, but I'm genuinely interested in what this "Great Power" that Dell and Alienware are bringing us is. Most likely we already know what it will be, some super high end, super expensive gaming Laptop or PC. But still one can wonder.

Furthermore, to increase their hype, they decided to put a little coded message as seen in the middle of the screen, which one cannot roll over to display. However, after using the blue message bellow, and filling in the missing words. I decoded the message to say:



Now, i think that they are just trying to go overboard on this, but who knows. So add yourself to the mailing list, and let's see where they go with this.

alienware does builds great system but for:

a. idiots
b. people with money and little time

and that is how i feel about the high premium they charge for a few work hours.

Alienware is too expensive. They should offer their cases for sale, that would be big bucks because those are sick.

They're making a new font that's only usable on alienware computers, the exclusivity will have people pouring out dollars.

Its obvious Alienware made i7 pprocessor thing... there gonna make a ochocore (8 core i7) processor with glowing stuff... touch screen, supar computer epic gaming system that can do everything.!

or who knows maybe more technological creative destruction will occur and my custom will take another step towards the back of the bus...

Thats true for any PC thats pre built, be it a basic Dell or a VooDoo.

SO what's it all about?

I'm gonna guess Armeggedon will be the new name for the hybrid dell and alienware. If not, it could be some new system that has a faster method for integration between graphics and memory. Or maybe it'll just have a 5 gig graphics memory dedicated on board. It'll look sweet no doubt, just not sure if the price will be reasonable. I'm guessing 5k-8k for this.
