I have an 80gb ps3 and its one of the new models that doesn't play ps2 games but I was thinking of buying a 60gb one that plays ps2 games from ebay and selling mine. Do you think I would get scammed?

That's a tough call....I tend to not trust ebay because it's so impersonal. Maybe you should try to sell it to someone you know or Craig's List first? At least that way you can meet the person face-to-face, they give you cash, and you don't have to worry about charge-backs, scams, etc. And you can inspect the new one when you go to buy it (or buy a new one from a store).

60gbs have gone down hill over time. All my friends that had 60gb ps3 have had to send it in because of the yellow light of death.
I just got a 80gb metal gear solid system that plays ps2 games to replace my 40gb that did not. Works fine and it was used from a friend.

I bought my Xbox 360 from ebay about a year ago and never had a problem. I've used EBay dozens of times over the years with no problems. Just try to stick to the Power Sellers with a good reputation and you should be fine.

Say you did get scammed, you could get ur money back if u dispute it with paypal. I bought an ipod touch recently and it was faulty. But after a bit of communication with paypal i managed to get a refund. The thing is here i risked buying something expensive and he had low feedback. When you're buying off someone with high positive feedback, you are a lot safer.

Just make sure they got a lot of positive feedback and read the description.

yeah usually buy from people who have already sold a bunch of stuff. And you can go through the logs and see all the feedback and ratings so its not that hard finding someone legit.

Yeah and in PS3 threads you get people saying the 360 can do way much better than a PS3 in every aspect. I wonder who those people can be.. perhaps fanboys?

Ohh I just remembered the best ebay purchase ever. Someone bought a solar powered dryer and a few weeks later what came in? Some string and clothespins or the picture of the tv.(Think it was a tv) Shit was win.
