What did you give your mother?

I gave her an apron, typical housemother gift but she asked for it herself.

Now she calls me every 10 minutes because she needs an English word translated. -_-

I got her 3 fuschia roses *her favorite color*. Some lindor Truffles *her favorite candy*. And I hand wrote her a letter telling her how amazing I thought she was and how blessed I am to have her in my life. Oh and I spent 4 hours weeding her overgrown flower beds

My parents aren't very big on these holidays anyway, especially since their birthdays are so close to em.

Physical gifts aren't a substitute. Typically when you give a physical gift, it's followed with emotional and sentimental gifts.
If money is an issue than that's fine. But it angers me when people try to pass it off as an ideological choice (referring to the replies in this thread).

Although I agree that mothers/fathers day is bullshit, it's still part of like, a tradition. I couldn't really care less if my kids would get me something later (when I get kids ofcourse o.O)
