How many of you have some? And im talking about not when you were a baby and couldnt remember, im talking about auctually remembering the event, and telling me if it hurted or not. Reason for that, of course is im thinking of getting my ear pierced, just 1 though, not both. How long does the process take to get the piercing? For it to completely heal? ( like where wearing it is now casual ) Did it hurt when you did it? What are some benefits and some disadvantages for it? Its not doing anything major i know, but i wanted to get some more info on it before i auctaully do it.

Ok. If you get it done with a gun, it doesn't hurt.

The feeling is your ear goes really warm and hot. That's about it really. You don't even feel it. Just a *pop* and it's in.

As far as healing, it can take from 2 weeks to 2 months. When I started stretching my ear, it hadn't healed. However, by not being healed, it doesn't mean it drips blood.

Pierced 4 times by myself with needles.
Really it doesn't hurt that much just hold your breath.
Use a sleeper (the circle shaped ring) for the first 2 or 3 weeks so it doesn't get infected.

It doesn't hurt at all.

Just rinse everything in hydrogen peroxide everyday and it should be fine in a week or two

When i got my first one, all i heard was a click and wasnt sure if it was done or not. It happens instantly. The second one tho which i got just recent, i felt it a bit more. It doesnt hurt at all but. Your ear might get a little swollen but thats about it. Just make sure you dont take it out for at least 2 months i think.

Was joking :P. I think that's disgusting and has to be so unhygienic. I've seen a guy with stretchers in his nose. So it looks like he has 4 nostrils.

i heard you weren't supposed to get it done with a gun. Something about them being very unsanitary and bad for the job....

If you don't clean such devices, then of course it's not sanitary. I don't know if the gun is still used, but when I got my ears pieced they put a plastic cover on it that they'd throw away after each use. The gun was cleaned as well.

I got one in each ear. Even when everyone would keep on getting more, I stuck with it, knowing I'd regret it later.

Believe I was 6 or 7 when I got my ears pierced. Some lady came up to me with that piercing device that looked like a gun, and I didn't like it. I sat in my father's lap and I had to show her the side of my face so she could pierce it.
Didn't hurt, but the sound startled me. I kept my other ear pressed against my fathers chest so she couldn't pierce it lol.
I eventually left with both my ears pierced, though.

I have 2. Left and right ear - thinking of getting more this summer. It really doesn't hurt that much especially if they use a piercing "gun" to do the job. They basically take the pointed earring and pierce then lock it in place - all in 1 shot. Just use antiseptic for about 2 months and rotate the earring while cleaning the area with antiseptic 2 times a day - morning and night. Also, try not to change jewelry for at least 1.5-2 months and always clean after taking a shower.

I did my ears myself and it didnt hurt.

I got my eyebrow pierced aswell by a professional and it didnt really hurt that much, i had to take it out like 2 days after becuase my body wouldnt accept it, same for the ears. I cant have any piercing.

Ears take 6 weeks to heal after that you can wear whatever earrings you wish.
