Does anyone suffer with eczema, isn't it so satisfying when you just need to scratch it. Even though it makes it worse...

I used to have it when I was just a little boy  & really bad lol.
But when I stopped scratching, it felt more satisfying, I didn't feel the need anymore and now I just don't have it anymore :)

A few weeks back I had Herpes Zoster (shingles) and it really itched like ****.
But I couldn't directly scratch it so I wore an old t shirt and then scratched it over that. I threw away the t-shirt, too afraid to get it again.

But yeah, I know what kind of horror extreme itching is. What I found to be a great remedy was taking a shower and putting it on firehose mode and hose that shit down. I took like 30 minute showers to ease the itching. Somewhere during the shower it actually started feeling really good.

Skin conditions also really suck because it can't really be prevented by the person and people look at you like you're disgusting. Of course it can be disgusting to look at, but it's not nice when people associate you with filth.

I think I had it when I was 7~8 years old, it dissapeared after I used a sort of white salve my dad uses. Maybe you should go to a skin doctor or something xD

No point going, just wait till autumn is here.. and it will go. And I don't fancy paying money for something that wouldn't probably help.

My salve worked just fine. We no longer live in an era where all doctors are quacks, they actually do help. And besides, should be covered by insurance anyways.

Yeah, might of worked just fine for you, but I've used some creams and they haven't worked. I just wait till the weather gets colder and its gone.

And plus I have to pay for the prescription in the UK, which doesn't come cheap.

well, those creams didn't work for me either.
for me, it was just in the head, the itching.
after a couple of remarks about it, I started to see it did more bad than good, the scratching.
so I stopped scratching & now I even don't feel it itching anymore.

I used to have it when I was younger. I had it a little on my hands only in certain seasons. Sometimes it itched so bad, I scratched it until it was all bloody, but it felt great:D It disappeared when I reached puberty just like my doctor said when I was little. I'm glad id did tho, it wasn't very nice to have it

I used to have eczema. Clotrimazole and betamethasone diproprionate clears it right up in 3-5 days.

Not always. Chicken Pox is a form of the herpes virus. People usually only get that once.

I also get it on my face and in my opinion is the worse place to get it, even though its not as worse then what it is on my hands. But sometimes when it is really bad, it just looks horrible and everyone can see it. The only time its really bad, is when I am really stressed, coming down with something or its been raining and have been caught out in the rain.
