6-8 hours is actually the recommended amount of seep to be healthy. Sleeping 11-13 hours seems very unhealthy.

As I'm sure Sacchin would say; "Tylenol PM".

Slight mistake. Thanks DJ.

I know 8 hours is recommended for a minimum , right??But i'm feeling more exhausted when i sleep less then 9 hours..And i also look more exhausted lately..Cause every morning i wake up i'm waking up with a bad attitude..
So that's why..

11-13 hours is such a waste of time. You just need to get used to less sleep.

But then the last question is , how can i suddenly sleep 6-8 hours in stead of 11-13 all of a sudden ,altho that time i got a gf at the same time =S , but i don't think it actually has to do something with it..

Quit boning your girlfriend all night? You either give up sleep, or give up sex. :)

-.-;

I also have a horrible sleep issue. But it is often due to being in some kind of pain or something stressing me. I just lay there and toss and turn for hours, any little sound bothers me. Tylonal PM works great. Though for me personally I have to eat (or drink alot of water/juice - not recommended because you are so knocked out you wake up with a stomach ache 'cause you have to pee so bad lol) right afterwords to make it work faster. I'd suggest a bowl of cereal. It can make you sleep for quite awhile, if you try it, cut it in half first to see if it's enough for you. I need to start doing that as I wake up so groggy just from one. And another plus! - Tylonal PM stops pain.

Also over sleeping can make you more sleepy. You can always try going to bed earlier.

Ever tought of having sex before sleeping? If you have a gf...
OR.
Make some exercises until you get rly tired.
It works for me:)

Sleepdisorders are there because you have problems and pills just make you believe everything is fine... but its not. You should consult some health expert(who seeks the cause of your problem and not just gives a damn pill) or search for causes on the internet.

ps:
I know i acted like im some allknowing nerdie, but its not the case. If you wait for others help, yer lost man... the best way is to solve your problems if you do it yourself(except surgery/other heavy/scary stuff).

ps2:
Sacchin, no offense meant.

Sex just to be tired is empty love. Fapping would be sufficient.

No offense taken. Tylonal PM is an over-the-counter painkiller. And I dunno 'bout it being all in my mind but when I feel it's effects my head just starts dropping and I have this extremely heavy wave of sleepiness over me. "All in your head" may be the case for anti-depressants and the like but Tylonal PM is...."legit" lol it doesn't hurt to try it at least anyway.

I never understand people who can't sleep. You lie there, close your eyes, breathe and do literally nothing. How hard is that? If your not getting as much sleep just go to bed earlier, is it really that dam hard? Get some sleeping pills if you must. Its sleeping, doesn't take a forum full of mmo gaming geniuses to figure out how to do it.

Meh.

I have sleeping issues aswell, I hate going to sleep and then I hate getting out of my bed. On weekdays I usually go to bed at midnight-ish, on weekends it's usually between 0:00 - 6:00 ish in the morning and I sleep until like 10-14.

I really wish I didn't need to sleep, I feel like it's such a waste of time, I need to get used to sleep like 5 hours or so, I like like 30 seconds away from school and 2/3 of the times I'm late, I feel so embarrassed, the teacher is like "did you miss the bus?". T_T

I say just adjust yourself to a 6-8 hour sleeping schedule. For the first week - 10 days, you'll feel exhausted from not sleeping 11-13 hours, but after that time, you'll get more out of the day having only slept 8 hours.

I can't sleep at night either. I end up browsing around here or on MSN or something.

Me personally, I'm going to be trying a polyphasic sleep cycle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphasic_sleep
Sounds interesting.

I have the exact same situation.

I can tell you why, it's because your body is used to sleeping around 11 hours.
As has been posted by someone who was actually correct, it is recommended to sleep 6-8.5 hours.

Lately I barely game at all and I have an amazing 40 hr job and a gf, and I'm in the exact same situation.

You will get used to it after a while, it really is a matter of letting your body get used to it.

You can try some sleeping pills I guess, or something that helps you relax.

Also, one thing I've noticed over the change in the past months, is that I can actually get up and out of my bed a LOT easier, when I had only 6-8 hours sleep, instead of the usual 8-11.

Gl :)

Just need to train your body to get used to it. The most important part of sleep is REM sleep. Once you hit that, you're fine. No matter how long the sleep lasts. Training your body is the hard part.

Easy.. Mess up your regular sleeping times. And you'll be sleepy at random times.

I don't agree...
well thats the last thing you should take, Only take it if you really really cant sleep at all..

Why? It's Tylenol, not a hardcore narcotic or an illegal drug.

Jstar1 wrote:dont wanna depend on sleeping pills, you'll end up like heath ledger

Are you referring to Tylenol PM? It's far from addicting and I suggested taking half of one, not accidentally taking the whole bottle.

No matter, why the hell take any pills?!

Because it's made to help you sleep? It's not meant to be used all the time. A night if you can't sleep.

It's Tylenol ffs, you know, the painkiller that usually doesn't do shit for backache, cramps, headaches or anything else that's hurting? The painkiller you grew up on when you didn't feel good and mom gave you Tylenol for kids?

/ugh

I would never advise someone to take pills to go to sleep, no matter if they're crappy painkillers or whatever. Addiction is just around the corner with sleeping pills, before you know it you need your pills every night.

Except it's not addicting. It's like talking to my 91 year old gramma.

Someone suggest weed
