So I want an ipod or an mp3 player. Had an old ipod from when they first came out. Loved it, but it's been dead for a while. Should I replace it with another one? Get the nano? Or is there an mp3 player out there that you really like? I'm not really into electronics so if it does more than play music I don't need it. Please advice meh.

the only thing i don't like about ipods is the itunes that comes with it.
i havent put new music on my ipod for ages. i think i have like a 30gb
ipod classic. music quality is good though, and it looks stylish.

Zune's are ok.

I myself own a 30gb, The Zune it's self is awesome, but the software that adds the music I think sucks. The video quality of the Zune is AMAZING!!! I find that to be really good if you want to watch videos.

As other people have already stated, get a zune. The software kinda blows but if you only use it for uploading to/downloading from the zune, who cares? Not to mention they are cheaper the ipods.

I have this Sandisk Sansa 8G. It plays music. Its cheap. Stylish. I like.

She says it's a great little mp3 player that can play videos as well. Comes in 4gb and 2gb I think.

Have you ever heard of the stiletto by sirius? If you have a sirius radio, that shit's the best.

Also, sansa clip is nice if you want a small one.

Otherwise, just stick with teh ipod

How much music do you have? Thats an important part of it.
If you go with an ipod make sure you get a warranty. I garauntee you'll need it.

If you need a new phone I'd say get a phone with music compatibility.
I've seen too mant ipods and so on break, mobiles however, do not.

I love my nano, I had some difficulties with at first (it made a strange noise when I pressed next song), but that has been resolved and I really like it.

Don't get it if you want to watch a movie or something, get an ipod touch for that cause the nano screen is just too small.
I just love the simplicity of ipods, and now all I have to do to play shuffle is shake it once and I'm good to go.

do you have an electronics store near you? the best way to find out what you like is to go and touch all the samples and feel it in your hand and check out the interface. Looking at pictures on the internet is absolutely no help.

IMO the ipod is real simple to navigate, and since you already know it getting another ipod would probably be good for you since you dont have to relearn where everything is with a zune or whatever.
