Its worth it. There are two more coming, so it does have a story to it.

I hate free roam.
I liked jumping around for a bit and doing that kind of stuff, but GTA is the only game where free roam really works for me. In games like Prince of Persia and Assassin's Creed (yes, they are almost the same) I want to be stuck in a room, see the window where I have to go and figure out a way to get there. I don't want to walk around in a Farking city going wherever.

^For PoP, yes, I agree with you at some point. That's why I liked the second, and especially the first one. But 'freeroam' has it's charm too. Even though not very brainwrecking, adventuring and running everywhere and all in the last PoP is fun too.
But for AC I don't really agree. It's a main part of the game. And the story is taking place in big towns, not in deserted pits, castles, caves, etc.

Yes I can't wait... from what gamestop interview is with the people making ac2, they stated the fact that it could be in the 1700's near the french revolution... the leader was assinated so that could easily fill in... but thats not for sure. Also the revealed that ac2 will come out in the fiascal of 2010... its somewhere in gamespots new's i'll find it if you guys need me to.
