Anyway, I've been wanting to make an art site for the past 3 years, I'd put it off then go back to it. I'm too much of a perfectionist and when I get frustrated I leave it to collect dust. Kinda got the urge back recently. Of course I want it to be just perfect-BLAH BLAH BLAH.

Ok to the point for real this time. I've also struggled with content for an art-ish website.

I'd like to have a small gallery, a character blog and......what else? My brother suggests character comics, but I don't like drawing the same character more then once. So do you guys have any suggestions? I'm not looking for a crap load of content just something to keep interest and..well I dunno. Even if it's simple yet cute.

I also plan to buy a host, nothing big of course. Need to look around, but not ready for that yet.

Please keep in mind it's going to be a girly, sugary sweet site, candy coated in the pinkiest of pink.

Gallery (Unless someone has a different idea to present the art), (Character) blog, ??????, ?????, etc. Nothing that would allow people to use my art of course.

I've also been looking for good tuts on cute backgrounds but only found one on DA, which I haven't tried.

Suggestions are all too welcome, there was more I wanted to add but I forgot >,<

Suggestion? Melezypan? MADNESS!

Isn't a simple portfolio a better option. Have a gallery, blog (which you write on, out character), and maybe a forum shoudl your really like to discuss your works.

Yeah, that was kinda what I was leaning toward but forums usually flop for me and I'm not very good at explaining tutorials >_< I'd like to have something that would want someone to revisit. Something other then a forum at least lol

You can get free flash based games for a website all over by just googling for them. It's real easy to copy and paste the code into your website as well.

But I'm wanting the originality of my art in them ^^ I have an idea for some but I have to see if my brother can teach me to make proper flash games. I wonder if that will be too hard though. I can only think of 3 different kinds. Only one will be really simple.

Home page -> 200 words about who you are and what you do and why you do it.
Gallery/Portfolio -> The actual content.
Blog -> Releasing new content, upcoming releases, progress reports on current projects. If you want to get really creative you can do time-lapse videos of your art as it develops.
