I don't believe the intent of the article or the thread ever was for comic relief, to peak anyone's interest (no one outside IT, anyway), or entertain anybody. It was intended to educate people about a known piece of malware currently residing in millions of PCs that has potential to be very dangerous if not patched. Since the majority of the forum members run on Windows machines it only seemed reasonable to pass this information on.
